Horner lands midfielder
Billy Horner made a move to strengthen his midfield with the signing of Nigel Walker. Since leaving Newcastle, the attacking midfielder had played for a number of clubs, most recently Chester. Now back in his native north-east, he played more games for Pools than for any other club. He left in 1987 having accumulated 92 matches and eight goals.
