Clough and Taylor get busy
Brian Clough and Peter Taylor set about building a strong side in the summer of 1966, with three key players all signing on the same day. Striker Terry Bell arrived from Taylor's old club Nuneaton Borough, reliable defender Tony Bircumshaw ended his five year stay with Notts County, while winger Mick Somers made the long journey from Torquay.
