Tiger arrives on loan
With Pools struggling in the re-election zone, manager John Simpson turned to Hull City to try to strengthen his options. He looked to borrow Stuart Pearson but, when the future England player seemed less than keen, he turned instead to midfielder Norman Lees. The Geordie spent the rest of the season at the Vic, playing 20 times and scoring once.
