Despite starting his career at Darlington, Honour went on to be one of the best and most popular players in Pools history. His whole-hearted displays on the right of midfield and occasional stunning goals made him a real fans favourite and he was voted Player of the Season three times, including the 1990/91 promotion season. After retiring with over 300 league appearances to his name, Honour continued in a coaching role, and even briefly managed the club with his good friend Paul Baker.
