Youngster handed chance
Brian Clough used the last game of the 1965/66 season to give a debut to youngster John McGovern. At 16 years and 205 days, McGovern became the club's youngest ever player, a title he would hold for over 35 years. McGovern would be close to Clough for the rest of his career, following the latter to successes with Derby and Nottingham Forest
