Meet Robbie's replacement
Having tried a couple of options at left back since Rob McKinnon's transfer to Motherwell, Pools signed a long term replacement in the shape of Paul Cross from Barnsley. The Yorkshireman made his debut on this day in 1992 and went on to give two seasons of good service in what were difficult financial times for the club.
