Versatile Yorkshireman Steve Haslam joined the club in 2009 having been released by Bury earlier in the summer. Capable of playing across the defence or in midfield, Haslam provided useful and reliable squad cover throughout his time at the club. His most prolonged spell in the first team came in the second half of the 2010/11 season when he provided 16 straight league games of capable defensive cover for the injured Neil Austin. The following season saw Haslam make just three league starts, the last of which came in a disastrous 5-0 defeat at Wycombe. He was released in May 2012.
