Striker Adie Mike began his career at Manchester City before moving to Stockport for £60,000. He never established himself at Edgeley Park and was loaned out a couple of times including an unsuccessful spell at Pools in 1996. His time at the club coincided with a slump in form that cost Keith Houchen his job. Pools picked up just one point during Mike`s seven games and Mike scored just once, in a home defeat to Brighton.
