Playoff push
With Pools having an outside chance of the playoffs, Neale Cooper signed former Barnsley winger Stephen Carson on a short-term contract. As it turned out, a recalled Adam Boyd was the key to a playoff push, and Carson featured just three times before being released in the summer. He later played for Coleraine in his native Northern Ireland.
