Dawes on his way out
After picking up an injury in the opening game of the 1975/76 season, popular defender Malcolm Dawes was unable to regain his place. Dawes had played more than 200 times for the club and had been voted player of the year in 1974/75. He joined Workington on loan in November, and made the move permanent a few weeks later.
